This is about our Little Free Library in Freeland, Oxfordshire, UK. This community project was grant aided by West Oxfordshire District Council.
Our Little Free Library has had a guest book inside it ever since we launched this project in September 2015. We’re fast approaching our first anniversary, so I thought it was about time to share with you some of the many comments that people have written in the book. I have altered some of the comments slightly to maintain anonymity.
Thank you for the box, my grandson loves coming over to see me, so we can swap some books from home.
This is such a brilliant and simple idea to make reading a treat and an outing for kiddies. My granddaughter loves to come here, sit on the bench, and choose her books.
I will ask the council if they can have Little Free Libraries like this one everywhere.
I love using the Little Free Library, I keep asking my grandma if I can come here everyday.
Such a fantastic idea! You never know what you will end up with.
I love this place!
This idea is FANTASTIC! Every time I am bored at home, I always ask my mum if I can go to the Little Free Library. I always get a book from here and it makes me happy instantly!
Great idea. More books. Books rule!
This is amazing! Children love the freedom of reading.
Amazing, we love it. It makes us want to read more. Thank you so much.
It is a really good idea, and gets people to read more, like me.
I think it is a really good idea and I can’t wait to see what other books there are next time.
Thank you for the Little Free Library, what a great idea! We love borrowing & sitting on the bench in the sunshine!
We love our visits to the Little Free Library, we’ve borrowed some very good books, and it has encouraged us to sort through our books at home in order to donate some! A real asset to our village, thank you.
An excellent idea – a way to exchange old books and to enjoy new ones.
Thank you for such a great idea. We visit it at least once a week. The kids love it!
